Ubisoft E3 Roundup: South Park: The Fractured but Whole, For Honor and a freaking cat riding a unicorn!
Just a few minutes in and the boys from South Park dropped the F bomb! Ubisoft sure know how to bring it at an E3 and this year is no exception! Here is a roundup of our picks of what we want to see more of from Ubi!
South Park: The Fractured but Whole
Ensuring another truly authentic South Park experience, creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker are involved in every step of the development of the game.
“The success of South Park: The Stick of Truth proves our fans crave a deeper interactive experience with South Park,” said Dan Yang, EVP and GM, Consumer Products, Viacom Music & Entertainment Group. “Working with Ubisoft to extend the South Park gaming franchise will no doubt galvanize the audience’s interest across all platforms.”
“By successfully mixing outstanding comedy with excellent gameplay, South Park: The Stick of Truth created a game genre: the Comedy Role-Playing Game,” said Laurent Detoc, president at Ubisoft. “Our teams worked hard, laughed hard, and players loved it so we’re back to collaborate on the fantastic world created by Matt, Trey and the talented group at South Park Digital Studios with South Park: The Fractured but Whole.”
South Park: The Fractured but Whole will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 Windows PC. No release date confirmed as of yet.
Brand new IP for Ubi, For Honor carves a path of destruction through the battlefield mixing skill, strategy and team play with visceral, melee combat.
For Honor drops gamers into the chaos of a raging battlefield during an ongoing war between three Great Factions: the bold Knights (the Legions), the brutal Vikings (the Warborn) and the enigmatic Samurai (the Chosen). For every battle, players can choose which warrior they want to embody amongst the unique Heroes from this pantheon and use their distinct skills and weapons to fight for land, people and honor, decimating all soldiers, archers and opposing Heroes who stand in their way.
For Honor includes both a thrilling multiplayer and an engaging, single-player campaign, letting players conquer their foes alone or with friends. Tense gameplay mixes the skill and ruthlessness of a shooter with the quick, heat of the battle decision-making of team-based tactical games. The Art of Battle, Sanctuary’s innovative control scheme, gives players total command of their weapons by creating a direct connection between the input on the controller and the moves performed on screen. Players choose precisely where to block, where to attack and how to adapt their approach to each battle in real time.
“Our vision with For Honor is to create a game that ignites the same emotions that a warrior would feel on a real battlefield. The tension of face-to-face encounters with deadly enemies, the adrenaline of charging alongside your army against the opposition, and the danger of a chaotic battle when you don’t know where the next strike will come from,” said Jason Vandenberghe, Creative Director, Ubisoft. “It’s a game that celebrates the art of sword-fighting and the legacy of the legendary warriors from those great legacies, the Knights, the Vikings and the Samurai that we brought together in one single experience.”
Fans who want to get the latest news and content about For Honor and have a chance to play the game first can register to For Honor’s Backstage Program at http://www.forhonorgame.com/ and follow the game’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
For Honor will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 Windows PC. No release date confirmed as of yet.
Tom Clancy’s The Division
It finally has a release date! Lock it in people, 8 March 2016 will see The Division hit the shelves and it’s been one game that we have been waiting on for what seems like a life time! Praise the baby cheeses!
The urban survival themed shooter was first show in 2013 at E3 and updates on its release have been hush hush since it was delayed. However, from what Ubi showed today the game play is even more glorious than its original debut and we can’t wait for this one!
When a devastating pandemic sweeps through New York City, and one by one, basic services fail. In only days, without food or water, society collapses into chaos. The Division, an autonomous unit of tactical agents, is activated. Leading seemingly ordinary lives among us, these agents are trained to operate independently in order to save society.
Ubi have also promised beta access early next year! Defiantly one to go on the pre order list folks!
Tom Calncy’s The Divison will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate
It just wouldn’t be an Ubi E3 presso without an Assassin’s Creed announcement! Set in London, 1868 during the Industrial Revolution, the period unleased an incredible age of invention, transforming the lives of millions with technology once thought impossible. Opportunities created during this period have people rushing to London to engage in this new world, a world no longer controlled by kings, emperors, politicians, or religion, but by a new common denominator: money. Not everyone is able to enjoy the benefits of this boom, however. Introducing Jacob Frye, who with the help of his twin sister Evie, will change the fate of millions in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. Rise to rally and lead the underworld to break the corrupt stranglehold on London in a visceral adventure filled with action, intrigue, and brutal combat.
The visuals displayed were very impressive and whilst it may seem like a ‘cookie cutter’ of the previous AC instalments, the story line for a game which is set in the peak of the notorious killer Jack the Ripper murders should be incredibly interesting!
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate slices in on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles on October 23 2015, followed by P slightly later.
