Hulk Hogan Joins WWE Live Australian Tour
In a press conference today held at Federation Square, The immortal Hulk Hogan announced that he will be joining the WWE in their tour of Australia in August. The Hulkster then went on to say he will be playing the role of General Manager across the three shows.
The WWE Live tour is part of the house shows that they put on all across the world, and a yearly tradition for WWE fans. It’s a change for fans to get up close and personal with the superstars, and have a chance to watch longer, more casual matches between big names.
Hulk Hogan is perhaps the biggest name in the history of Professional Wrestling, he’s the man behind Hulkamania, and were in some of the biggest wrestling matchups in history. He will be coming on the Australian tour as the role of GM, which involves making matchups, ending arguments, and generally being a presence on the show. Hogan’s wrestling days are far behind him, so this is the next best thing.
The WWE Live tour hits Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney in early-August, with the superstars that have been advertised for the Australian tour including John Cena, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Rusev, Kane, Bad News Barrett, and now Hulk Hogan.
This will be the first time Hulk Hogan has been involved in a wrestling event in Australia since he brought his Hulkamania Tour to the country in 2009. This wasn’t affiliated with the WWE, but featured plenty of ex-WWE stars and a main event of Hulk Hogan vs Ric Flair.
