Monster Hunter Generations Dated, New Nintendo 3DS XL Edition Announced
On Friday, Nintendo announced that Monster Hunter Generations, the latest title in the Monster Hunter franchise, would be released on the 16th of July.
Monster Hunter Generations features content in the form of monsters, locations, and weapons from the four generations of the Monster Hunter franchise, ranging from 2004 to 2014. New to the franchise however is the ability for hunters to choose from four different hunting styles which can severely change gameplay, and Hunter Arts allow for special moves to be used against a multitude of monsters. For the first time, the cat-like Felynes are playable in Prowler mode, which adds an additional gameplay mode and equipment to create and collect.
Also announced was the New Nintendo 3DS XL Monster Hunter Generations Edition, featuring what is referred to in-game as the Fated Four, four monsters that are wreaking havoc.
Monster Hunter Generations was released in Japan as Monster Hunter X back in November of last year, and met critical acclaim, selling 1.5 million copies in its first two days of release, and over three million total in a month.
