Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius Coming This Winter
On Tuesday, Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius, a free to play RPG, coming to iOS and Android devices, will be released this winter.
Set in the kingdom of Grandshelt, players will follow the adventure of Rain and Lasswell, two knights, and Fina on a quest for a crystal. The game will feature turn-based combat, as well as a top-down overworld where players can explore areas, interact with NPCs, and go on sidequests.
Since its release in Japan, Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius saw over five million downloads. In the Japanese versions, microtransactions were used to summon a random character from across the Final Fantasy franchise.
If interested, players can pre-register at https://www.finalfantasyexvius.com/register/ and secure a number of in-game items, with more items becoming available the more people pre-register. As of posting, Terra in her Magitek Armor from Final Fantasy VI and three elixirs and 5,000 friend points have been unlocked. The next milestones of pre-registration items include 500 Lapis, 5 Phoenix Downs and 10,000 gil, and 10 rare summon tickets.
Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius will be released sometime this winter for iOS and Android; a set release date has not been given yet.
