E3 News Roundup: The Elder Scrolls
Bethesda announced more content in The Elder Scrolls franchise at their first E3 presentation. The Elder Scrolls news consisted of new areas to explore in The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, and a new competitive card collecting game, The Elder Scrolls: Legends.
New cities will make their way into the world of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited. The first city is the Imperial City, the capital city of Tamriel re-imagined from the 2006 multiplatform title The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The second was Orsinium, the realm of the orcs and was first shown to Elder Scrolls players in the 1996 PC title The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall. These cities will be available soon. The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited is available now for PC, Mac, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The Elder Scrolls: Legends was only teased and no concrete details were given. From the trailer, the game appears to take elements from the past, present and future of The Elder Scrolls franchise and integrate them into a competitive strategy card game. This may be seen as a reaction to the success of Hearthstone, the other competitive strategy card game available on mobile, tablet and PC. The Elder Scrolls: Legends will be available on mobile, tablet devices, and PC later this year.
