Devil's Third To Be Released In August
Nintendo announced on Thursday the release date of the 29th of August for Devil’s Third for the Wii U from Valhalla Game Studios.
The upcoming Wii U title will see hack and slash action designed by Tomonobu Itagaki, the person who directed other titles in the Dead or Alive and the rebooted Ninja Gaiden franchises, and was last .
Devil’s Third’s story features Ivan, a former mercenary released from prison to take down terrorists he used to closely align with. All the world’s electronic weaponry have been rendered useless, so warfare is restricted to close combat.
An online mode can also be played, where the terrorists have won and you, a citizen, can help fight back against the terrorists and claim back the United States through either democracy or anarchy. Players can ally with other factions, or assault everyone. Fight in battles, and you can opt to customise and fortify your own base. The better your defences, the better chance of survival.
Devil’s Third originally began development as a multiplatform Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game by THQ. After THQ folded in 2013, Valhalla Game Studios retained the full rights to Devil’s Third, and Nintendo decided to take Devil’s Third on board.
With the recent Ninja Gaiden games being known notoriously for their difficulty and their hacking and slashing to be on point, a real gem is coming for hack and slash fans.
