Dead Island 2 Delayed for 2016
In a recent announcement on Dead Island 2s TwitLonger post, developer Yager has confirmed that the first person zombie game Dead Island 2 has been delayed for a 2016 release.
The follow-up to Techlands Dead Island and Dead Island Riptide was originally set for a spring release. However given the high hopes from both the developers and fans, Yager went ahead and decided that delay a was in order to reach the games expectations.
“We have been looking at the game long and hard, and we have decided we didn’t reach that goal we set out to achieve quite yet,” said Team Dead Island 2 . “This is why we have decided to delay Dead Island 2 to 2016. Right now we are focusing purely on development, and we will have more info to share at a later stage.”
The development team went on to say that given the extra time, they’re more confident in delivering a better game to play as a result. Dead Island 2 is now expected to arrive on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC in 2016.
