Crawl "Flame Skeleton" Update Released
Its not everyday we see Gabe Newell as a playable enemy. But with the newest update from Powerhoof, Crawl now allows players to do so!
Introducing the “Flame Skeleton” update for Crawl. Having been teased for the past month as part of a April Fools joke, Powerhoof had apparently reached out to Valve and were given permission to use Gabes “likeness” as part of their newest update.
Just like their last, you better believe it folks that this one comes packed with a lot more awesome content. With the obvious bug fixes, the main features include:
- New monster “Gaben” (obviously) added as a rare statue.
- New monster “Mini Beam Eye Bat” rounds out the Flying Eye evolution chain.
- Five gods can now be “taunted” to give a new challenge, or something extra to gloat about when you beat your friends.
- New environment “The Crypt”.
New weapons such as the Battle Axe and Magic Flame Bow have also been included, with a further list of the updated changes that can be viewed here on Powerhoofs steam post. To those who may not be aware, Crawl is the local 3v1 multiplayer dungeon crawler where your friends control the monsters and fight for humanity. With one player controlling the human and the others playing as the monsters, its a race to see who can earn the most EXP and win against the final boss battle.
Released for Early Access last year, Barney and David have been working endlessly on this game for over a year and half now (probably close to two years). If you’d like to find out more, head on down to their Steam or Humble Bundle page for more details. Praise Lord Gaben!
