Ach Mein Gott! – New Wolfenstein Game Announced!
Released last year, Wolfenstein: The New Order brought us a terrific reboot to the once forgotten franchise. Whilst harking back to more traditional based shooting mechanics, the game felt fresh and it was a solid title that was even nominated various game of the year awards.
Following through with that success, fans can now rejoice even more as Machine Games delivers us a completely new standalone title.
Wolfenstein The Old Blood!
Looking through their website, the games isn’t a sequel. Instead, this will be a prequel title focusing on B.J. Blazkowicz prior the events of The New Order.
As for the story, its summed within the following statement;
“The year is 1946 and the Nazis are on the brink of winning World War II. In an effort to turn the tide in the allies’ favor, B.J. Blazkowicz must embark on an epic, two-part mission deep within Bavaria…
Part one of Wolfenstein: The Old Blood – Rudi Jäger and the Den of Wolves – pits BJ Blazkowicz against a maniacal prison warden as he breaks into Castle Wolfenstein in an attempt to steal the coordinates to General Deathshead’s compound. In part two – The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabbs – our hero’s search for the coordinates leads him to the city of Wulfburg where an obsessed Nazi archaeologist is exhuming mysterious artifacts that threaten to unleash a dark and ancient power.”
Wolfenstein: The Old Blood is scheduled to be released May 5th this year.
